With Christmas only a few months away, it’s time to start gearing up. And the great news is, there is a myriad of ways to get creative using ribbon crafts; make stunning gifts for friends and family or showcase your creative flair with these hand-made Christmas decorations.
1) Turn an Ordinary Picture Frame Into a Stunning Ornament
A picture frame can be used in many ways besides framing a, well, picture. Look how this simple wooden frame comes to life using one silver ribbon, two Christmas baubles and a decorative gift. Keen to give it a go?
2) A Ribbon Tree Makes a Glamorous Christmas Table Centrepiece
Every dining table needs an elegant centrepiece, especially if you’re hosting Christmas. For this stunning centrepiece, we used a gold bow decoration for the top and two-star ornaments as hanging pieces. We finished with a bi-colour green and red satin ribbon as the wrap and three gold baubles for the base. Add some silver or gold cord to garnish your baubles for an extra touch of finesse.
Want a centrepiece like this one for your own dining table? Give it a go!
3) DIY Christmas Ribbon Cards
In a world of rushed text messages and e-cards, sending your own hand-made Christmas cards can be a thoughtful alternative. And there are many ways to use ribbons to create fun and colourful cards. We used four different types of ribbon for this card, but you could quite easily get away with two or three.

4) Have Some Ribbon Fun with Our Clear Plastic Baubles
Around baubles, inside baubles, beneath baubles… the options are endless. Ribbons are a simple, fun way to add colour and Christmas flair to our clear plastic baubles.
For this bauble display, we filled the baubles with patterned, Christmas ribbons and tied a ribbon bow around the outside for the finishing touch. You can hang these on your Christmas tree or use as a display like this one for a table or decorative piece.
5) Go the Extra Yard Wrapping your Gifts
People always appreciate a beautifully wrapped gift. And when you take a little more care and attention to wrap the gifts you place beneath your tree, they add vibrancy, lifting the overall presentation. Combine patterns, textures, colours and contrasts…There are so many ways you can have fun with ribbons while gift wrapping.
